Chesapeake Virginia Music

This summer, the Virginia Beach Oceanfront will come alive with local, regional, and national music. For three days, local and regional artists from across the country, as well as national artists, will come together to entertain and delight the local audience with their live performances.

The series, formerly known as BeachStreet USA, will begin on Saturday, July 8 with the first of three concerts at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. Three bands will play in the performing arts area, offering the audience the opportunity to enjoy live music from local, regional and national artists from across the country. Visitors will be captivated by the sounds of marching bands, blues, jazz, hip-hop, reggae, rock, country, folk, soul, pop, funk, bluegrass and more that will come on stage.

The festival began in 2002 and has grown into one of the largest music festivals in Virginia Beach, Virginia, with nearly 50,000 people attending in 2012. The festival features live music by local, regional and national artists from across the country as well as a variety of special events.

The metal scene is closely connected to the punk rock scene in the city, and punk is one of the most popular music genres in Richmond, Virginia. Richmond also has an active metal scene, including bands like Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Slayer, Black Flag, Judas Priest and others.

The origins of music in this state are very diverse, including music from the early days of the United States of America, the Middle East, Europe, Africa and Asia. Virginia's musical contributions to American culture are diverse, spanning everything from jazz, blues, hip-hop, rock'n "roll, folk, country, jazz and blues. In 2005, 2006 and 2007 Richmond hosted the National Folk Festival, which featured music from the United States, Canada, Europe, Africa and Asia. Many of the former NFF sites will continue to host regional folk festivals when the NFF moves to the next location, but Richmond has done the same in the form of Richmond Folk Festivals.

Bands compete for leaderboards and prizes at this free two-day event in May. This is also a great place for live music and one of my favorite places to enjoy the Neptune Park Summer Concert Series, which presents the best local bands and artists from Virginia Beach every Tuesday in the summer.
